Elder Jesse L. Draper was born July 18, 1952,  to the late Superintendent Dave Draper, Sr. and Missionary Willie Mae Draper.  He is a graduate of Lee High School.  He has also attended classes at Alabama A&M University.  At the age of 18 he entered into the U.S. States Army and served a year of duty in Germany.  In April of 2005, the Lord Blessed him to retire from working for the U.S. Government after 30 years of service. He is married to Marion Anderson.  Elder Draper is also the proud father of seven Tanessa Smith, Mark Walker, Dianna Baxter, Sharron Hawkins, Jessica Draper, Jennifer Tims, Jeremy Draper and is the grandfather of fifteen.

In 1980, Pastor Draper was called to preach the gospel.  In 1988, he was ordained an elder in the Church of God in Christ.  Pastor Draper received all of his training from his Father, Pastor, Superintendent and Friend, the Late Superintendent Dave Draper, Sr., where he served with him faithfully for eighteen years.  The Lord had given Pastor Draper the Vision for the Right Way Church of God in Christ many, many years ago, but it was on October 18, 1998 that he stepped out of his comfort zone and the first service for the Right Way Church of God in Christ was held.  He also Pastored the Bay Minette Church of God in Christ for two years and Co-Pastored the Harris Temple Church of God in Christ Troy, for one year.

Pastor Jesse L. Draper is a dynamic and Holy Ghost filled preacher and teacher.  He preaches and teaches under the anointing of God, giving audience demonstrations, and is used also by God in the gift of prophecy. Elder Draper loves God and the work of the Lord, not only does he shepherd the members of Right Way but he also ministers to men and women in  Huntsville and the surrounding areas.  Pastor Draper continues to be a testimony to men, women, young, and old, of how God can deliver you from a life of sin and shame.  Pastor Draper gives God the Glory for the things he has done in his life and is certainly not ashamed to give his testimony of how God delivered him from the life of drugs, sin and shame. To God Be the Glory!
